Day of Atonement
Dinner & Bible Lesson:
The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)
Saturday, October 4, 6 - 8pm
On Wednesday evening, October 1, 2025, Jewish communities begin Yom Kippur—the holiest day of the Jewish year, a solemn fast dedicated to repentance and atonement (it concludes Thursday night, October 2). Commanded in Leviticus 16, Yom Kippur shapes Jewish life to this day.
Join us on Saturday, October 4, 6–8 PM at the Worland Old Library (1019 Coburn Ave) for a hearty meal and a family-friendly overview of: (1) what God commanded in the days of Moses, (2) how Yom Kippur is observed by Jewish communities today, and (3) how it points to Christ and the Gospel (Hebrews 9–10). All ages welcome. Please RSVP so we can plan food for everyone!
Interested in helping to prepare the ‘Kreplach’ (traditional dumplings) the night before? Let us know!
